Siggy Issues

I created a siggy for another site, and had issues getting it uploaded. So, now I am frustrated, because I want to have one here at SSD as well. Are there any tutorials on this subject that someone can refer me to, and do you HAVE to go through sites like Photobucket to get your siggy uploaded? Can I not create my siggy and upload from my computer? I need someone to lead me in the right direction. I'll be back to see if anyone has responded to this post.

I host mine at Photobucket and then use the IMG code here in the forums to add them to the signature.

What dimensions have you used? I always upload to photobucket, tinypic or some other hosting site first. It doesn't work for me otherwise. Like Krystal said, copy the IMG code to your signature in the "User CP" area on the top SSD navigation bar.
