Scrapping size?

You might know that I experienced a computer crash. I'm now using my old pc with an older version of Photoshop. I found my shadow styles on Backblaze (thank goodness for that service) but I'm not sure how recent I had saved them.

Anyway I loaded them into Photoshop but they don't look right on the side panel... I tried them on a layout and they still don't look right.

I opened a template. It was 3600x3600 pixels and 300 dpi. Is it the usual size for scrapping? I wonder if it would change the way my shadows look if it were a different resolution?
 
Glad you found a better version! How do you back that up? I don't know that's backed up for me
 
I'm glad you found a version that worked better! Online backup is a lifesaver!

I keep a copy of my actions, styles, and brushes (both the installed ones and uninstalled ones) in my folder of scrapping supplies, and that entire folder (with its 50-bajillion subfolders) is part of what I have set to back up.

I also keep a separate backup of the actions and styles I have installed, and I like to re-make those files every year or so since what I have installed changes over time. With that file, I can reinstall all my styles or actions much more easily than having to go one set at a time. Here's how I do it for styles, and if I remember correctly it's pretty much the same for actions:

  1. Open the styles panel.
  2. Click on every style you want in your backup file. Unfortunately, you have to click on each individual style rather than the name of the set of styles.
  3. Click on the 3 lines in the top right to open the menu.
  4. Choose Export selected styles.
  5. Save the file in a location that's included in your backup.

oh that sounds more complicated than I do. I just swipe my whole set of styles and load all the styles I use. Not that many really. Then I saved the whole thing together and put it in my scrapbook folder.

It seems that Backblaze saves my whole hard drive.

What--me overcomplicate things? That sounds about right, LOL!
