Remember when Photoshop ate two of my pages?

Remember back a week or so ago when I came and cried because Photoshop died in the midst of saving 2 of my February PL pages and caused them to just become invalid useless junk files?

Well, I was without internet most of this week and decided now would be a good time to finish up the other pages and rebuild the two dead ones. But no... SIX of my EIGHT almost done pages were gone. *sigh* I re-did them, and am finishing them all up (again) now.

Oh, no! I've had to do one or two over after a PS fail, but I don't think I could face redoing 6! Good for you for sticking with it and getting them in your album.

That is totally sucky! I save mine right away and then resave as I go because I've had that happen to me before. PS is just too fickle sometimes!

I don't think it's a saving issue. When I lost mine, they'd been saved multiple times and I had autosave turned on. Usually that's enough that I can reopen the file after a crash, but a few times I still got the black nothingness and only a thumbnail remained. It was on an older computer that was showing the first signs of failing, which may have had a lot to do with it.

Do the files names get renamed or what happens exactly? I read once that you could re-add the .psd file extension to solve a similar issue (when the power goes out while using PS causing corruption). I always work with TIFF, so I wonder if that is why I haven't had this problem? When I did a quick search on the topic, it seemed more isolated to .psd files. Not sure. I hope it doesn't happen again! That would drive me bonky for sure!

Nope, I use TIFFs as well (I like being able to see the actual file and not the silly psd logo thingy) and the first thing I tried was re-adding the .tiff, I even tried changing it to a PSD once I got really angry. lol
