Noodles and lots of cheese is common in Cincinnati chili, and I believe their chili is mostly meat. Typically it's spaghetti noodles.
My chili always has both meat and beans and depending on my mood I sometimes make noodles for it or rice. Most of the time it's just the chili with some cheese and sour cream.

If I make the kids chili dogs, I buy the canned chili without beans because the boy child doesn't care for beans in anything.
He will eat refried beans, though, since they are smushed. He's weird. lol
