What was your favorite age that you've experienced thus far? Why?

Up at the top of my list would be the summer I was 20. I was still a semi-kid living at home for the summer working at an easy job with my friends. I worked until midnight 5 nights a week, went out to eat at a greasy spoon diner after that, and got home around 1:30 or 2 am. I stayed up even later watching 'Conan' and checking my AOL email and messenger. Ha!
 
My favourite age has always been my current one. When I was a kid I loved being a kid. When I was a teenager I enjoyed those years too. Now I'm an adult I love being an adult and a parent. I firmly believe in living in the 'now' and being happy with what I have. Too much looking back, or looking forward prevents you from enjoying the present.
 
25, I think. It was just a good year. Lots of good things happened- a move, things that brought hope, etc. and I was just finding a lot of contentment in myself. I do enjoy my current age but it's been a rollercoaster of rough years since then and that was just a mostly good year, even with the bad.
 
35-36, my current age. (I just had my birthday a month ago so hard to make it be actually 36). I am so much more content with myself now, I have a couple of dreams that I worked hard to obtain, my son is at a great age and my relationship is at great place. I am quite content and happy right now.
 
That's a hard one. I think I have pretty good years so I guess I'll say my current age because it just keeps getting better!! ((Although I wish my kids would slow down because they seem like they are growing up WAY too fast!!))

I couldn't have said this any better! I was sitting here trying to think about what age I liked the best and didn't have an answer... then I realized it's for the same reasons you mention. :D I have loved every age - even through the really sad times because coming out on the other side intact has made me who I am today.
 
I'd have to say my early thirties... I didn't feel old, everything was coming together- I knew what I was doing at work, I was married, we were starting a family... I didn't know yet that J would be an only child... :(
 
I really don't know. In general I've prefered being older to being younger--I like the independence that comes with adulthood, and in my 30's I felt much more comfortable being myself than I did in my 20's.

But I don't know if I'd say any specific time in my 30's was my favorite age, because my kids were so young and I almost never had breaks from parenting, not even for a few hours. So even though I feel like I was at a good age, I was too overwhelmed to say it was my favorite. Maybe my late 30's? By then even my youngest was in preschool a few hours a week, so I had a little time to myself (important for this introvert) and was happier overall. I'm 40 now, and I don't know yet how I'll feel about my 40's. My kids are growing up too fast, and I miss where they were a few years ago. In some ways I'm starting to feel my age in ways I don't like. But I also don't want to feel like my best years or favorite age are behind me--I'm sure there are a lot of wonderful things still to come, and who knows what age I'll end up recalling most fondly many years from now.
 
I am going to be a little bit of a Debbie Downer here and say... I hate getting older. Life changes too much for me now. Itʻs not ʻfunʻ like it was when life changed in my youth. Hahaha... My kids are fantastic and I feel richly blessed by my moments shared with them lately, but these years are bittersweet and fleeting. They are filled with stress, busyness and a lot of work. The kids take a lot of our energy and our responsibilities (house, cars, jobs) are a heavy load. Mid-thirties are hard. I know for sure this is not my favorite age.

About 8 years ago in my late twenties I think I was on a high. New babies, no real job other than being their mama, and a smaller house with less upkeep. No gray hair, no weird hormonal stuff, no activities to bustle around town for and no homeschooling. LOL. Life was much more serene then... although at the time, it was all new to me and I did feel like it was harder than anything.

Who knows, maybe in 8 more years I will look back on today and say these were the best days of my life? Isnʻt life funny that way?
 
I love my primary school years, especially when I was 11-12 years old. 12 would be my golden year coz I shined in school, I was naive, I was a positive thinker (mostly) coz I didn't mix with negative people, and I had a few best friends. Now, I don't have any best friends...sweet time indeed.
 
Lots of good times in my life, so it would be hard to narrow it down. When I look back fondly at 'the good old days' different times through my life pop into my head so I know there is more than one favorite age or maybe not a favorite age at all. There are definitely times that I miss though. I REALLY, REALLY miss my kids being little. My baby turns 10 this Sunday and it is tearing me up. I love the experiences we are having now but I miss having a baby. We had planned to have a few more so it makes me sad because I know I should still have 'little' kids had things gone our way.

When someone asks me how old I am, I have to think fast and figure it out because the answer that tries to escape is 23. LOL I'm almost 20 years past that now.
