Purses

I need a new purse. I have been carrying my Coach one for a while, over three years, and the trim is worn out and beginning to look pretty raggedy. I've looked at Coach and nothing is calling to me. At All.

I thought I would come here and ask you all about your purses, where you got them and how much you like them.

Like I said, mine was a coach, two tone, in navy and med blue. I tend to carry blue purses because I wear blue all the time, since it is my favorite color.

I prefer a small to medium sized purse that has some pockets inside for organization and an outside pocket for my phone. Any recommendations?

I don't have any recommendations, but that's a super cute purse! I wear a lot of blue too.

This is waiting to be unboxed at my front door. I've carried Fossil for a long time. Since Covid, I no longer put my purse in the front seat of shopping carts and instead keep it on me. My back starts to hurt after a while, so I got a backpack/convertible crossbody purse. I hope the quality of this one is as good as past bags.

Coach will clean your purse and they have repair options. I can't guarantee they can fully repair your purse, but it's an option if need be!
I had a handbag with a worn cross-body strap. They said they'd replace it for free--that isn't always the "cost," but I wanted to share. Maybe they can help your handbag. And if they can't, at least you tried!
ETA: not that you can't get a new handbag. I just like helping others, maybe someone reading this thread, find ways to breathe new life in fave pieces. I had a fave handbag for almost 6 years. When it finally fell apart (almost literally lol), it was quite the loss! I tried to find another Coach bag, like you, but actually ended up with a Michael Kors bag for less than a quarter the price. Sooooo, yeah. I'm not opposed to new or different brands :D I also got a Portland Leather bag I like, and I just checked: they're having a sale right now! They have blue handbags.

I usually carry a Coach bag or a Dooney & Bourke. I always look at the outlets or for sales. I don't know that Donney's are that popular, but I've always thought they were well made and I like them, so that's all I care about :p.

Never been much of a purse girl. When my kids were babies and toddlers I hate even carrying the diaper bag, lol, and when I had to carry pads or tampons I used the smallest cross body I could find roflmaooooo

I have a cross body back pack or a larger backpack type purse. I just got a larger purse from Ross that is Justin brand (cowboy boots etc). I put my smaller purse in there and water, book etc. I carry way too much and really don't need it. Usually when I go in a store to shop I only have my id/card or phone since most places I can pay by google pay or apple pay

This is the larger one I have: https://www.bootbarn.com/justin-womens-tan-lace-inlay-concealed-carry-tote-/2000239850.html
I got it at Ross though for $14.99 I think.

I'm not a purse person. I bought a really small cross body bag to hold essentials because I don't like keeping everything in my pockets and I need to be able to push my mom in her wheelchair. I only carry my phone, sunglasses, a pen, tissues and my tiny wallet/card holder in it.

In January I moved in to a wonderful purse from a new to me brand American Leather. The leather is buttery soft and still smells fantastic. And the purse has held up well over the last 6 months. I bought mine on QVC. They also have their own website. Its worth a look. (here is mine)

Pom Pom London is a great bag. I have several. The bag I was given for Christmas started to have issues and they sent me a new one without any questions.

I am a Vera Bradley fan right now since I can go around sharing my love of baby Yoda while I am out.

I think Vera Bradley has some cute things, but I don't care for a cloth bag. I like pebbled leather because it holds up so well and doesn't show the wear and tear. I carry my purses for a while so I need one that will hold up against the abuse I give it.

I have never heard of this one, but now I have to check it out. LOL

I don't carry much more than that either, but I need a purse. One of the things l like best about crossbody bags is that they are hands free.

Okay, I carried my new purse a few times and absolutely hate it. I took it to the grocery store, and it was just awkward and hard to handle. I still love the Fossil brand; however, a backpack purse isn't for me on a daily basis.

I am a Vera Bradley girl. I do have a few other purses for Fall/Winter (from like Kohls/JCPenney). My mom taught me to not buy a purse and have no money left to put inside it, so no expensive purses here! I hope you find one you love!

I generally use a medium size purse. I am a huge fan of Coach purses. I have found that they are sturdy and will take abuse but still look great, even after several years.

This is my current purse and it's in berry pink. It's a Coach that I got as a present from my Mama and sister. I can't remember how old it is now, maybe 10 years old? Anyway, it's patent leather and has held up beautifully. I also have a black Coach bag in this same style. My Mama and sister both had the red Coach bag in this style, and when Mama passed, I got her red bag. You can find this style on eBay or Poshmark for $25-$80. I use a felt organizer in my purses, so I can just pull it out and place it in whatever purse I want to use next. If I'm in a hurry and want my bag to match my outfit, the felt organizer makes that quick and easy. For that reason, I don't like compartmentalized purses. The Coach bag is a little floppy if I don't have an organizer inside of it.

I like this Michael Kors bag as well. I like that it holds the shape. I still use a felt organizer inside of it.

I was drawn to a Kate Spade purse that came up on an ad on Facebook. It's black with red cherries and I always get so many compliments on it. It's easy to wipe clean.

And this is my latest purchase. My sister and I were shopping outside of Mobile and found this secondhand store and I got this vintage Coach bag for $5! It sells for $40-80 online, depending whether you are on eBay or Poshmark or other reselling sites. I'm going to use it this fall as it's a deeper color than the one I'm using now.

I have issues with purses. One of my issues is that I have too many. :D

And here's the felt organizer I have. I purchased the small and the medium. Photo is linked. There are different colors and sizes. The medium is on sale at Amazon for $14.30.

I own quite a few Portland Leather Goods bags and recently bought a couple of Longchamps bags in Paris that I love.

I am so glad you included the link, because I need this. I am not going to lie, since starting this thread I have purchased three purses and I think I have finally found one that will work for me.

Cheryl, I love purses too, but I am too lazy to change them out. LOL My DIL changes hers almost every day and loves checking out my stash, because even though I don't change them often, I still buy too many of them. I am an impluse shopper and a pretty purse will get me every time.

Glad to hear this because I was wondering if it was easy to use. I do have my eye on a Fossil purse that I may end up getting just because it is so darn pretty. LOL

I have three of the felt organizers, (small, medium, large). The large works great in tote bags for an iPad and other writing utensils, planners, etc.

I usually only change mine seasonally, but I have to admit that when you posted this thread, I've been thinking about changing it. I wore a b&w top with red accents today, so I pulled out my Mama's red Coach bag. I'll carry it until I switch it out for that burgundy in the fall. I like changing them out, but NOT everyday. Even with the felt organizers, it's too much of a hassle. LOL
