Please tell me I'm not the only one...

who changes my background paper at least 4 times before I'm satisfied with it??? I start with one paper, and always throughout the process of creating my layout have to change it at least 3 more times, even though I love the paper I started with. Sigh. I almost feel like I need to create another layout with my original background paper, but don't for fear that I would change it again! lol.

I always start with the paper I love the most (which is usually the most busy/colorful pattern) and end up switching it out to something more neutral, white, or a small pattern.

Me too!!! Of course, I'm going to blame it on the designers and the fact that they put too darn many awesome papers in one kit!! :) It's a problem that I can't use them all at once.

yep! :] What i do is load like.. my say five favourite papers on, and then just click back and forth between the layers until I finally decide :P

If I'm using lots of papers on a layout, then the background paper is often the last one I'll place. Then I can see what looks best, and what the other papers pop against. But other than that, I change BG papers all. the. time. :)

I constantly change the background paper! Then I wind up using the first one I chose!

I am constantly changing out the papers. Layouts take me so long because I over think things or have to change the papers because something isn't clicking.

I usually think about my journaling first. If I'm going to journal on the background paper I usually choose a neutral or something fairly simple (or sometimes usually Julie's paint wash). If I'm not journaling on the background paper then I usually chose a really bold and busy paper.

wow i must be the one in the minority because I rarely change it out unless it's just not working. I usually keep my first choice

I do my background paper last and usually choose between what I haven't used/what looks the best. Normally it's at least three papers :)

I regularly swap out the background paper until I find the best one. Sometimes something darker or lighter works better than what I first picked.

That's me too, and then I message Erin to ask her which one is better. I'll often have a layout entirely finished and then spend 45 minutes switching out background papers. It's a sickness.

Yup!! It's nice getting feedback regarding papers from someone else! <3

I've noticed that I've started moving toward more plain background papers and then painting & spritzing them all up. I do that after the rest of the LO is done!

I switch it up about half of the time. I prefer, in general, a plain or lightly patterned paper for my background and I can usually identify the one I want right away but there are times I switch it out several times until just the right one comes along. I do it with ALL the papers in a layout, though. Not just the background ones. I am so soooo slow at deciding on papers.

I like non-patterned neutrals the most, so I'm usually able to pick one and stick to it. But don't get me started on elements and element placements...

I probably do that at least half the time. I start with my background paper, then add some photos and elements, then I stop and try a few other backgrounds.

I do what La said! LOL!! Most of the time I ended up sticking to the original paper though...

I do that all the time..... my pages almost never finish the way I intended when I started. but hey, that's the beauty of digi scrapping right?
