Our elf is getting a girlfriend this year...

and I need some ideas on how to introduce her the first morning. I do a North Pole breakfast on the first morning so I though about hiding her somewhere and leaving a note on where to go look for her but I'd love something really cute. IDK.

I am getting a girl elf too (actually already got her) but since I accidently left out Elf out ALL year this year, she is going to come in and try to keep him from being too zombiefied......loved some of the ideas the girls gave me in the other thread about having a funeral for him, then zombifiying him......

what about having her there with all of Ella's little barbies, girl dolls and say something to the effect of the "girls invited me for a visit so I thought I would hang around awhile until it is my time to go back to the North Pole".....of coarse then she can have a sleepover, makeover and all the fun girly stuff LOL!

I went to the store today to look for my first elf, and found they were already sold out of boy elves! LOL! They had lots of girl elves, and several cute costumes. Do you have a daughter? Maybe her toys (Barbies??) could be "making over" (or dressing up) your new girl elf for her grand debut?? Or give her the red carpet treatment...with all the toys lined up on either side, welcoming her into your home for the season?? Just some ideas....I am not very good at this and have been pinterest-ing ideas for my "first season" with our elf (if I find one! LOL!) Can't wait to hear how this turns out for you!

How fun! We have a boy and a girl elf (not 'elf on a shelf' but stuffed elves I got on Amazon) but they both arrived together that first year. This will be our 4th year. I need to plan like NOW. I'd probably introduce her as the head of the search party looking for the long lost elf from last Christmas. :)

My kids thought the elf was creepy... so Santa sent pups. :) we have a boy and girl plushie pups.

We have the Christopher Pop-In-Kins elf. I bought him on Amazon.

I must be the only person in the world who hates the elf on the shelf! haha

No, no you are not. :p

Buuuuuut, I love seeing other people's photos. I would just be that Mom that forgot about him for a week and then just say "screw it!"

Love the red carpet idea...that would be really cute!

I can't wait for our elf to arrive, but I'll admit it's hard being the 4th year coming up with new ideas. I've Pinterested ALOT!

The elf IS creepy! My kids were old enough that they didn't mind but we all think he's creepy. It seems there are newer versions that are less creepy these days - like the plush ones. Our is especially creepy because my daughter cut her finger on the box when we were driving him home from the store, so we call him Bloody Buddy. :D Yes, we are weird.
