Any ideas? I remember this happened a couple years ago but I'm not sure the steps I took to speed it up. It happened pretty much overnight but I can't think of any changes I've made.
I hate it when I ask a question and then get to busy to come back. I'll ask dh about the hard drive issue. It's just weird to me that it seemed to happen suddenly.
Photoshop gets slow for me when the cache is full. All it takes is for me to close down PS and then reopen it. When was the last time you closed down and restarted?

If everything is running slow and seeming off, back up your computer! Hopefully it's something you can fix like your HD filling up, but a few days or weeks of what you're describing has sometimes been my only warning that my HD is about to fail.
Figured it out... it was Blurb's Bookify program which I dl'ed last week and ended up not using. Also, our Carbonite wasn't updating properly and was throwing a wrench in the works. Ta dah! Running along just perfectly today
