NYE - Anything planned with the kiddos?

I want to do some fun things with J on New Years Eve, but I'm not sure what. We usually go to my FIL's radio show - he has had a New Years Eve show for the last 45 years, but wind chills are suppose to be in the -35 range and that is just too cold to go out.

Any ideas for me?

I'm no help at all.... my boys are always in bed by 7:30 [even on big nights like NYE, CE & July 4th, because I'm a dictator Mom] and my hubs almost never makes it to midnight. so I'm usually just flying solo and ringin' in the new year all by my lonesome.

here's hoping you find something fun!

We always try to stay up.... I'm a night owl so I always make it.... my oldest usually makes it. My middle son usually falls asleep in the last 5 minutes and the little one is kind of hit or miss. The hubs is usually having a snooze fest by 10pm. Another thing is we wait until 1am.... I am from MA, so for me it's not the New Year until 12am EST even though we are technically an hour ahead of that. Sometimes we go up the street to my brothers, he always does a big fireworks display.... this year I think we'll just stay home... play board games, and have lots of snacks. (my middle son loves to cook, and he has every kind of maker you can think of ie: cupcake maker, pretzel maker, cake pop maker, a donut maker etc so he wants to make our NYE snack spread (he has some good recipes to use other than sweets so it'll be a good variety). Someday I hope that we can all make it to midnight and enjoy the first minutes of the New Year together. :)

We're just planning a movie marathon with some junk food. Also, Netflix has made a 3 minute countdown with King Julien, the crazy lemur from madagascar. It's only 3 minutes and you can start it whenever you want, so when the kids start to get tired, I'll just play that, we'll have a mini party and then put them to bed. DH and I will stay up for the real deal with our bubbly drinks :)
