New Desktop?

I'm in the market for a New Desktop computer and am needing some advice / suggestions on what's best? I want fast and plenty of storage since I scrap and take lots of photos. So what are your recommendations on RAM & HD? I am thinking 8 GB RAM at least and 1 TB HD/HDD? Give me all your info and suggestions.

So my old computer had a 2TB hard drive and I just got a new one and we were in a time crunch so my husband had to get a 1 TB but it has tons of RAM (I think 12 GB? But I will admit I am not computer savvy in this way). Anyway, my 1 TB is full already and I haven't even recovered all the photos from my last one. Good opportunity to go through and purge photos.

Anyway, the one I have is a Lenovo. It's been good so far, apart from space issues. Good luck on your computer search! It's exciting getting a new one!

My laptop has 2 HDs. One is a 500 GB solid state drive that I use for the operating system and programs plus things I'm working on, like layouts in progress. I've got plenty of free space on it. The other is a 1 TB that's about 3/4 of photos, finished LOs, etc. I'd start by seeing how full your current HD is.
