My DD was in the Super Bowl with Katy Perry!

We had to keep it secret before the show, but I'm finally allowed to tell people that my DD was in the Super Bowl half time show with Katy Perry yesterday. She had so much fun!!

That is awesome!
That was a really good show....been a long time since I've seen a half time show that was worth all the hype.
 
We weren't allowed anywhere near the stadium! :( The dancers were dropped off at a local college, then the Super Bowl folks hired buses to bus them to the stadium just for the show and then back. They didn't get to see any of the game either. My DD said it was cool, though, that they had a huge police escort on the road to the game.

She had an amazing time, though. They got to practice all week with Katy Perry and the other performers and, of course, the show was totally once-in-a lifetime.
 
Oh what fun! I hope you are going to scrap it with her so she can remember all of the little details and her excitement for years to come.
 
I was telling my husband that one time when the Super Bowl was in AZ, my cousin got to dance in the pregame show. And how cool that your daughter was in this half time!
 
That's cool Kim! I like the fact that they use local dancers in the shows. We also had a friend whose daughter danced in the pregame show this year. It's such a thrill for the dancers and I think helps build local excitement for the game.
 
that is so wonderful!! i loved the half time show - it's the first one in a LONG time that's i've watched in its entirety! and LOL - my husband was at the game and left his seat during the half time show because "it was too loud" - what ?!?! i was texting him during it saying "isn't this great" and he said he was in line for a beer ... smh!
