Movies...have you seen...

Tomorrow is our 22nd wedding anniversary so we are spending the whole day doing some things together out away from the boys - like lunch AND dinner out and a movie in the afternoon and probably some shopping. DH will go to whatever I want to see, but there isn't much out that interests me.

So, anyone have reviews of either Snow White and the Huntsman or Moonrise Kingdom? It's between those 2.
 
I haven't seen either, just wanted to say 'have fun'! That kind of day sounds like heaven to me!!! ALL DAY no kids? Awesome!
 
Oh I saw Snow White and I LOVED it! I'm a huge fan of Chris Hemsworth though, lol - he's SO yummy :) I don't really like Kristen Stewart and I think they could have found someone better, but I think she did a good job. The rest of the cast did a great job and I love the way they told the story. Different then the usual snow white story, and I liked that about it :)

Haven't seen the other one - so I can't help there. Haven't even heard of it - off to google it :)
 
I thought Snow White and the Huntsman was good, not great. But, I certainly didn't feel like I wasted my money seeing it :) I haven't heard anything about Moonrise Kingdom.
 
Congratulations on the anniversary! :) I haven't seen either but I saw an interview on The Today Show or something like that about "Snow White and the Huntsman" and it looked pretty intriguing if you like action and twisted fairy tale films. I don't care for Charlize Theron (mostly because in interviews she acts better than everyone else lol) but I'll probably rent it when it comes out on DVD. Our waiter at dinner last night told us that he had just seen Moonrise Kingdom and really liked it. Our newspaper reviewer says it's the best movie of the year. I definitely want to see that one.
