I have been doing some pages 72 dpi but silly me realized that when i want to print that is no good. so, my question is if i start at 12x12 at 300 dpi how do i save another copy of it at 72 dpi once i am done so i can post it?

thanks!!!

lol Shannon! You go to image>image size and change the DPI to 72 and then the pixels to 500. After that, file>save for web and choose jpeg in the options and you should be all set! :)

I use CS2, but it should still be the same?

I save my psd, then flatten image, save your regular size jpg, then go up to Image/Image Size....I still save mine 4 the web at 500x500.
Then go to file/save for web...play with the little slider til you get it at 150k or just under that size.
To keep organized i name all mine for the web as "4web"title".jpeg, and keep them in their own folder.

Yeah, actually all you need to worry about is making it 500x500. The dpi means nothing really unless you are actually printing.

Myself I like to save at 600x600 now that the galleries all seem to allow that size. I find layouts are much easier to get a sense of the details when they're that little bit bigger, and with Save For Web you can easily get them down to a reasonable file size still.
