May the 4th celebration

Is anyone else doing something special tomorrow for May the 4th?

My husband may be the bigger Star Wars fan but I'm the excited mama who gets to make magic happen for my kiddo. The past 2 years, we did Star Wars math as part of homeschool but this year it falls on a weekend so I am going all out.

We're making lightsabers out of glow sticks and bubble wands, building TWO little Star Wars Lego sets (75 pieces in a bag), tinting my son's milk blue, and attending an event at our local library.

I managed to get my son a spot in a Jedi training program at the library and have been corresponding with Master Yoda (librarian) about it. I did not, however, manage to snag 3 spots for the whole family for the Death Star escape room. There's also a promise of treats, character photos, and surprises galore.

I also got a new shirt because my Death Starry Night shirt from 2017 is showing its age. I have some FOMO about the shirts I didn't get but that would have cut into my NSD budget ;)

Please share your plans and/or ideas of thematic dinner that I can torment my brother with tomorrow.

SOooo- don't kill me... but I don't really like star wars.

I have seen some of the movies, but it's just not something we're into. lol! BUT- I think it's super fun that you go all in & do themed dinners and activities!

Sounds like a lot of fun!
We like Star Wars as well. I got that from my dad. He is a big fan as well.
But we don't do anything special tomorrow.

May the fourth be with you!

We like Star Wars around here, but we've never celebrated it. I'm sure my hubby would be willing to watch Star Wars tonight. It's been a while since we've seen it!

Why would I kill you? I admire you. We're not a sports family at all but I love seeing your sports pages. I've also done Fallout-themed nights but those are slightly more niche.

Do it! A New Hope is classic but Rowan says that Solo is the most perfect train robbery/heist movie. (I think we watched it every day when it came out.)

I got it from my dad too. I wonder if being all extra for May the 4th is an American thing.

We aren't fans so we aren't doing anything but I love an excuse to celebrate! Have a great 4th tomorrow!

We are big fans but don't do anything special. My son works for our church as our Media manager and all the slides for music, announcements are "star" themed.
Fun fact: Hubby and I walked up the aisle after we were married to the Star Wars theme music. :)

This was us last year on May the 4th. It was a fun night. Unfortunately, it fell on Sunday this year and I have to work so we didn't get to do anything. Boo!

I'm sorry you didn't get to do anything fun this year. Last year looks like so much fun.

FWIW, we didn't get to do much today. The boys did one of the two 75 pc Lego sets and we briefly swung by the library but it was too crowded for my mini me. I hope they'll let me make my lightsaber bubble wands tomorrow.

We didn't do anything for Star Wars today. However, after church, I have had lots of fun do challenges and scrapping!
