Local Seattle peeps

I want to take my cousin to Seattle and possible stay overnight on the 18th of Jan (3 day weekend for me) and wondered if there is a good reasonble place to stay in the city so we could enjoy the day, go back and realx a little and then possibly enjoy a little nightlife

Angie, I would probably just look for a good deal on one of the major sites. As long as you are close to the shopping district, you'll be able to walk to most everything. Since I live here, I never really stay in hotels, so the only ones I'm familiar with are the ones my colleagues stay when they are in town, but I work in the financial district, which puts you 5-6 blocks away. I've heard Homewood Suites is nice. I work close to The W, but it's pricey. The Fairmont is a little closer to the shopping district, but I think it's pricier. Good luck!

I'm not a local... but we stayed at the Hyatt Place in August- http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Re...lace_Seattle_Downtown-Seattle_Washington.html

It was very nice... only 3 blocks from the Space Needle, close to I5.

I forgot about Hyatt Place. It's not in the most walkable area (right off 99), but they have a free shuttle that will take you to the shopping area/Pike Place.

We stayed at the westin back in 2005 and were able to walk to everything.
