Let's talk about Elf on a Shelf

I was just at a Dollar Tree on Saturday and didn't find any elf stuff. Bummer! I looked too. I look every where I go. I stash elf things away all year as I find them at 2nd hand stores, on clearance, etc. Time to start browsing Amazon too. Some of my favorite finds have been from there.

Our elf is lazy and doesn't show up until December 10th. I can't keep up for more than two weeks!

I like that idea! Someone bought us a Hanukkah version of the elf last year, so I guess we're doing it this year. But 2 weeks sounds more doable than a month. I think my 8 year old and 5 year old will be easy to please, but my 11 year old will be a hard sell (and would have been that way even at 7 or 8). I'll need to go back through here for ideas in a few weeks, when I'm ready to plan.

Last night Target had all kinds of Elf stuff, including the Reindeer, and clothes.
