Interior Design Ideas for Shared Space

Help! My new house has just one front room that we need to use as a dining room but has enough space that we'll need some kind of sitting area, too. We have a basement that we plan on using as a family/TV room.

How should I divide the space visually? Link me up with some ideas or advice/tips, please!!

Our new home we just moved into had the same issue I used conversational seating to fill an extra area. It has 4 open areas yet separate spaces at same time so I had the same dilemma.

The dinning and reading nook are just to the right of the conversational seating when you enter the room, its all very open yet feels very intimate and separate at the same time now. Please ignore the lack of pictures and color on the walls we are just moved in and its a work in progress.
