but I can't think of it.. I am trying to get an outline of a ticket to use for an invitation. I thougth I would have a cookie cutter shape but I don't.. any one know where to get one?

What program are you using? There's a stamp shape in Photoshop (I'm on CS6) that you could use and just trim off the edges where you want a smooth line rather than the perforated edge look.

Or you could see if you have a ticket element in one of your scrapbooking kits and use it as a clipping mask.
 
You could make a rectangle, then use a circle to cut out the half moon shape from the ends. If you want a perforated edge, use your eraser with wide spacing to delete along the edge. Does that make sense?
 
i found an element ticket.. so to get it to take on what I want I put the ticket in its own layer above the layer I want it to take shape and push controlg.. im using elements 10
 
Put the ticket BELOW the paper. Use CTRL G on the paper, and it will clip to the ticket shape below it.
