I'm in love with 'layer bounds' in my layers panel!

Laura, you rock! I love learning little things like this like I would never in a million years discover on my own!

Glad I mentioned it and that it can help some of you. I thought for sure you all were gonna say you already knew about it, and that I was the only one living under the rock :-)

I love learning new stuff for photoshop!

OMG but you ladies just blew my mind today. YAY for bigger layer previews! :D

...wait, I can change the size of the font previews? *mind blows again*

When I switched from another company's program to PS, that was one of the first things I learned. Not being able to see the individual elements drove me CRAZY. I can't figure out why PS doesn't default to the close up view. It's also nice not to have to label the layers.

I can't find the change font preview in CS5, help a sistah out :)

In CS5, do you have a Type drop down on the top where the File and Edit menus are? If so, look under there. I know it was harder to find in CS3 than it is in CS6, but I don't know what version they changed it in. If you don't see it there, try Edit/Preferences. I think that's where it was in CS3.

Rachel you ar ethe BEST.....ok who has some more easy tips for me to make my life better!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm.... let me put my thinking cap on. I just assume that everything I know, you all already know, so it's hard to think of something that ya might NOT know of! LOL!!

Don't forget, you can also change the size of the PATHS and CHANNELS thumbnails too. Although, for myself, I don't much care about the size of those, but maybe you do.

can somebody teach me an easy way how to do text on a path? like say I want to journal inside a circle.....how would I do that....I have never figured out how to make a circle and text inside it :(

Have you seen Misty's tutorials? They're meant to teach you how to make a path to fit a shaped journaling mat, but you could easily select a circle and start from there instead of a mat.

Part 1
Part 2 (this one teaches you how to further customize the path if you have an element over part of the mat/shape)

I can't recall which program you said you were running, but paths are slightly different on CS6, so if the directions/tutorials are written for cs5 and before, you might possibly find yourself slightly stuck... if so, let us know, one of us can help you. Once you learn how youre going to say "it was that easy!??" ... I use to think they were hard so I strayed away from them, until I finally tackled it, and then I wanted to kick myself.

I love the font preview sizes... large, extra large, HUGE (lol!)

Just watch for load time... on some computers, depending on their specs, it will slow down the load time and even crash the program more often if it can't handle it well.

I keep mine on medium or large... Im scared to go to poster size, LOL!
