I think it's fair to say...

that I am severely lacking in my knowledge of some of the most basic things in photoshop. This is one of the reasons I love templates so much

Anyway, here's my question - how was the shape in the center of this collage made?

I would say it was created by how the rounded photos line up when centered on the page? But I'm not a photoshop pro either so maybe there was another way :D

I don't even know how to make rounded corners like that... I use Misty's cutting templates :D. Sorry, I'm no help, I'm lacking a lot of knowledge as well!

Shap tool. That center shape isn't actually part of the shape, but the rounded corner sharp corner hybrid is created using the shape tool. First create the rounded edge square and then fill in the other corners using the rectangle tool.

To make it REALLY easy........ I tend to use this gem by Janet Phillips.....

Found in the Shoppe here

Looks like it is just the how the photos are lined up that made that shape. :) I hope that helps!

Thank you so much  I'm happy to say I was able to do it from your instructions. lol

I am so like you....without templates I am nowhere! But I scrap for me....and I am sooooo fine with it. Thank God for Cindy, Kay, Misty, Darcy and other template builders! :o
