Anyway, here's my question - how was the shape in the center of this collage made?

I would say it was created by how the rounded photos line up when centered on the page? But I'm not a photoshop pro either so maybe there was another way

I don't even know how to make rounded corners like that... I use Misty's cutting templates . Sorry, I'm no help, I'm lacking a lot of knowledge as well!

Shap tool. That center shape isn't actually part of the shape, but the rounded corner sharp corner hybrid is created using the shape tool. First create the rounded edge square and then fill in the other corners using the rectangle tool.

To make it REALLY easy........ I tend to use this gem by Janet Phillips.....

There's a tutorial up on Yari's blog that explains how I made this card.

You'd use the same process, except keep different corners rounded. (I did it the way megan said, and I used guides to make sure the shapes lined up exactly)

I am so like you....without templates I am nowhere! But I scrap for me....and I am sooooo fine with it. Thank God for Cindy, Kay, Misty, Darcy and other template builders!
