Have you seen the ipad app Toontastic? It's kind of similar and Avery loves it..he draws the illustrations and then adds the story and sounds.

THAT IS SO COOL! My husband bought cereal for the kids a couple of weeks ago that came with a comic book maker CD, and they LOVE making comic books!
