Hybrid Question

If I have an "all-digi" layout and made a photo tile with it, is that considered hybrid or is it just an applied digi.

Does hybrid scrapping means you "ALWAYS" have to use some traditional paper and elements?

Confused.
Thanks!

Yea that's hybrid! It's not just a file on your computer anymore right? Therefore, hybrid! At least by my classification anyway :)

Even if you use a brush on a photo before printing it, it's considered hybrid. I think eventually there won't be much difference between the two, as more and more scrapbooking techniques rely on computer use.

thanks gals!

I've had that nagging question in my head for about a week now.

I should have just let it out. LOL!

Hybrid is such a broad term for combining digital and paper scrapbooking. I consider my digital printable projects hybrid though they are not fully hybrid if I don't include some real paper scrapbooking products with it.

I wondered about this too, in the realm of the challenges...if I print a layout, frame it and hang it on my wall is it hybrid enough to qualify?

Actually, I was told no that it doesn't count as hybrid if you just create a digi LO and then print it and frame it. I did that for the P2D challenge. So, my DD and I added flowers, buttons and ribbons to the frame and Karen told me she'd count it as a hybrid project. =)

ETA: I just haven't uploaded the photo of it yet. LOL

I think they might be looking for a little more to earn the extra point on the paper 2 digi challenges than just printing and framing.

Kaaaaarreeennnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!! Help!

Yep. It's fine if you decorate it though. And someone just posted a tumbler. I'll count that once I see a photo of it inserted into a tumbler ;)

Gotta make you girls work for that extra point ;). And this only counts for the Paper 2 Digi Challenge. We thought it was a fun challenge to stretch you a little since we were looking at paper LOs.

I found an awesome LO to lift for the latest one, I'm WAY excited about taking it hybrid. Hopefully I'll get to it this week. :)
