Help - Scrapping Museum Photos

So in Jan/Feb I visited 5-6 museums. Everything from dinosaurs, to shoes, to ceramics, to Islamic artifacts, to blood, to textiles, to all things art, and everything in between!

I will probably have 2-4-6 pages for each museum (I am narrowing down 5000 photos!) depending on the size of the museum. I don't have photos of any humans with anything. I went alone while I was away getting treatment done.

I am thinking pocket pages are my only choice here, but wondered if anyone had any suggestions on how to jazz things up a bit?

I am planning to stick to neutral tones across all pages (I think?!) and pull in elements from different kits if I have anything that goes with the photos, but I am afraid it will just get boring to look at, and then wonder if I should scrap them in the first place. Although it was meaningful to go to these places at the time.

Thanks for any suggestions

I don't think it will be boring at all. If it were me, I would go for a very simple graphic album, reminiscent of an art book. Let the photos speak for themselves, with just enough journaling to describe the exhibit and your thoughts on it. Here is something along the lines of what I was thinking.

I love the blocked clusters of photos with the supportive journaling and think it would be perfect for a museum album.

I was just going to recommend the same thing Lorie. The blocked graphic style looks fantastic with museum style photos.

I did this for a road trip album one year:

Thank you Lorie and Jacinda. These are definitely more what I was hoping for. Something that had the clean lines, but not as rigid as having the same boxed look of a pocket page.

What about these templates from Lorie

The layouts that I've seen with these templates are phenomenal!!

Since there is not much layering, I will probably just create the layouts as I go. Especially since I won't know how many photos will be on a page, or how much writing until I get to that layout. I do like the kit suggestion though! Lots of elements of things related to things I saw. Thanks Wendy.

I know shutterfly has a few options with the clean look. Their themes are varied and you could probably find one that's simple enough and just pop your photos in there. If you want the super easy way and plan on printing through them anyways.

I think Erica's templates would be great to showcase a lot of photos but also add tiny blocks of paper/elements...

As far as kits are concerned. I did a search in the store for Museum and I got a lot of awesome recommendations :) Can't wait to see your museum pages :)
