Have to Share My Excitement!

I have had the most wonderful Christmas present ever! For years and years, I knew I had a sister out there somewhere! My biological father told me when I first met him I had a sister named Leona after his mother. At the time I didn't pay any attention to it. I never knew him growing up but did meet with him when I was in my early twenties. I met him a few times since until he passed away in 1993. For the past few years I have been searching off and on for her. I was beginning to think he had lied about it. This past Wednesday morning something told me to google his name. And lo and behold there he is in another family tree besides mine. Well I got to work and found my sister! I called her and we talked amid both of us crying and I found she had been looking for me too! Best Christmas present ever!!
 
That's awesome, Rachel! I, too, found a sister that I had never met a few years ago. It was such an odd feeling, and we are completely different. Nothing in common. Still, it was cool knowing that we could finally meet each other.

I'm super excited for you!! Does she live anywhere near you?
 
She lives in Oklahoma and I live in Alabama. She told me this morning she wants to meet me and my other sister. So her son-in-law told her he would bring her to Alabama in July so she can meet her 2 sisters! I am so excited! When I talked to her it seems like I have known her my whole life!
