External Hard Drive

I'm shopping for an external hard drive. I know nothing except that I need one because all my digi-scrap stuff is bogging down my computer. Any advice???? I have a Mac.
 
The only ones I've ever had are "My Passport". The most recent one I got is 2TB. I usually get them at Costco. I've never had any trouble with them!
 
I have two WD drives, one My Passport 500GB, one My Book 1 TB. I highly recommend them. We have a lot of this brand at our house
 
I'm looking to get a new one as well. I've had two from WD die on me so all I know is that it'll be another brand this time.

I bought clickfree for my parents because they were so easy to use. I've been using clickfree for years.
 
I have a Maxtor EHD that my mom bought me in 2007 that STILL WORKS. I think part of the reason it still works is that it's so big I can't drop it, lol. Ya know, like I did the handy little passport that just plugged right into my computer. {sob}
 
I have a my passport and love it, never bad any trouble with it either. I am planning on getting another one of the same sort.
