DO you save your TIFF files?

to DVD/CD? I am asking because I want to save some of my files, but want to get them off of my hard drive (laptop) and right now I don't have and EHD...but when I try to save them to DVD, they just want save:cursing: I spent a whole day trying to save them (disc after disc) and even after I thought they were saved, when I opened them on the DVD, they weren'/t there:cursing::cursing::cursing: anybody have any ideas?

instead of saving my LO's as PSD files, I save them as TIFF files...and basically I am just trying to burn them to DVD...

I've never burned them to disc, but it's weird that they won't burn. Sorry hon!

If it's not working, why don't you burn some of your older kits to DVD's and get them off the HD instead?
And why haven't you gotten an EHD yet? You've been talking about it since the beginning of November! Lol!

I know Col....DH is gonna order a 2TB on Friday....so I will probably just wait and put them all on there and not rack my brain why they are not burning....ad I a gong through my older kits and burning them to DVD :)

I save my TIFF files to DVD every month and I've never had a problem. I just use Sony DVD R's and I burn them through Window's burn program. On my old computer that ran Windows 98 I burned them using Nero and also never had a problem.

Hmmm, I don't save TIFF or PSD files of my finished layouts but I do save copies of my TIFF templates to DVD for backup without a problem... Not sure why yours aren't saving.

question...why would you save a LO as a TIFF instead of as a jpeg? Is there an advantage to it? I have never done it, maybe I should be? lol

this is an old question, I only save my tiff file until I completely finish my LO, then I flatten and save as a jpeg and delete the TIFF....never looked back!

I always save my TIFF files. I've never had a problem with them not saving properly or taking a long time to save {knocks on wood}. How many are you saving at a time? Which TIFF options are you using when you save your files? LZW and ZIP?

The reason I save my files is I want the flexibility to either make it into a template, modify it or reuse it.
