I need little help from my Sweet friends. My daughter's YMCA Leader Group is trying to win a scholarship to send one of their members to Blue Ridge Leadership School next summer in North Carolina. It's about $500 plus transportation fees for each kid to attend. My daughter has been lucky enough to attend the last two summers and it's been a fantastic opportunity for her to learn good values and how to be leader in her community. They focus on fitness, team building, how to be a leader, how to make a difference in their community now as a teen and a lot more. Lots of positive peer pressure to be a good kid.

This is a group that has many kids whose families can't afford the fee to send their child to camp. We do lots of fundraising during the year - but this would give us a whole scholarship to provide to a teen that otherwise wouldn't be able to attend. :wub:

Yes, Carrie - red capes. They all got super hero capes as part of the Y theme for last year. Being a super hero for someone in need as well as those people at the Y who we think are super heros.
