Book Recommendations

I know, I know. Another bookelated thread! My book club is meeting tonight to discuss what our selections will be for 2017. I am tasked with bringing suggestions for the Contemporary Fiction and Historical Fiction categories. I've got a few in mind, but I'd love to know if you've read anything recently that you couldn't put down or found thought provoking.

I've had a really slow reading...well...year! I just couldn't finish very many books.

But, for ideas, maybe check out the GoodReads Books of 2016? There are bound to be some good ones that were voted on by readers.
