Book covers

I'm trying to put a book together for my Son and his wife for Christmas. Most pages will be of the construction on their new house and the finished product. Some of their fur babies and then just some random ones.
I have no idea what to put on the cover. Do I just put a big 2025 on it or do I create another "page" for it.
Can I see your covers?
Thanks in advance

Here are a couple of mine from years past:

A lot of albums and mini-albums come with a cover page included, here are a couple examples from Cindy…

I think it just depends on how you want the cover to look- you could go with one big photo or totally photoless, something that matches the rest of the album!

I usually make a fun, decorative cover for my albums. When you have as many Shutterfly books as I do on a shelf, you need them to jump out ;)

I usually include photos on the front (and back) covers but broke that trend for my October album so I could use a cute ghost

I love making the album covers almost more than the pages inside. :) I also make a back cover that coordinates. It looks so pretty once printed and bound. Sometimes I use a page I already scrapped, too, for the front, then I just make a coordinating back cover.

Some of my faves - I weirdly? put the year on the back cover.
