Best cutters, trimmers, other tools

I never really bought any tools when I did paper scrapbooking ... but now that I do hybrid I find myself wishing I had some things. Like a Crop-A-Dile, better scissors, a better paper trimmer, etc.

I think this weekend might be a good time to shop.

So ... what are your faves? What tools would you recommend? Thank you!

I have one of the big Crop-a-Dials...a fiskars paper trimmer that I've had for eons...and cutter-bee Teflon coated scissors (which I love!). Another thing that I have that I absolutely love is the Creative Memories cutting system (with the different size cutters and templates). Terrifically Tacky tape is another helpful item for hybrid imo.

I love my cropodile, use it all the time and it goes with me to all my crops.

I don't have a paper trimmer just a metal ruler and 2 types of craft knife - an xacto very sharp and pointy craft knife for fiddly things and one of those all purpose craft knives with the snap off blades that I use for cutting down my cradstock for cards. You'll need a cutting mat though to save your work surface

A good pair of scissors too, most people would tell you to get a small pair but mine are my dressmaking scissors so they are big but sharp - since I never use my sewing machine etc. for fabric I have repurposed my favourite comfy scissors

The Fiskars fingertip kraft knife is great.
Cutterbee small scissors are awesome for getting into small spaces when cutting out the digi goodies.
I have 2 pairs of big scissors. I think they are both Fiskars, but I'll have to double check when I get home. One is a regular kinda heavy duty office style pair, and the other is lighter and easier to cut out lots of stuff all at once.
I have a big purple cow guillotine trimmer that I love. But trimmers are often swing and miss things. Some people love guillotines, some love the rotary (mine has both on it), etc etc. I really only use mine to trim papers for bigger projects, or to cut bases for cards/layouts. And square things that I print out for projects I cut by hand with my scissors. And yes, I know that's silly, lol.

The Fiskars fingertip kraft knife is great.

I've been wondering about this...I've seen it used in a couple of You Tube how to videos but was afraid it would be harder to control than a reg craft knife. I really need to take a closer look I guess.
