Anyone have disney infinity?

My hubby was showing interest in the game, but was also asking a few questions and I can't seem to find the answers online. When you're playing the game, can you take characters outside of their worlds and play them in different worlds? So for instance, can we take Venom outside of the Spiderman World and take him in the Avengers world?

we have the 1 fisrt edition onnly with disneycharacters.

My kids say no.

Nope. The only ones that can crossover are Iron Man & Hulk into the spiderman playset & I believe Nova & Rocket raccoon into the avengers playset by collecting their crossover coins in gameplay. Although you can mix & match any characters in the toy box.
