American Idol: Week 4 Votes

Hey gals, time to vote for Round 4! This week we're down to voting off just one person and the guys/gals are mixed, so make sure you only list your bottom 3 COMBINED. Rules have been updated to reflect this. I'll post the current point standings in the results thread after Wednesday's show. Have fun and good luck!!

Here are the rules:

1) After each show, come to the AI thread here and post who you'll think will be in the bottom 3 AND the person(s) you predict will be voted off.

2) All votes MUST BE CAST no later than 30 minutes before the results show STARTS on the EAST COAST (usually 8pm EST, so the votes will be due by 7:30 EST). I will document the votes cast at that time. Any changes made after that time WILL NOT COUNT (I want to be able to actually *watch* the show myself)

3) Points will be given as follows (or modified as fairly as possible depending on how they present the results):
a) One point for identifying someone in the bottom 3, see b) if the person in your bottom 3 is eliminated
b) Three points for correctly identifying the person(s) voted off.
c) Five points will be given at the very end for correctly identifying the winner.

4) PLEASE don't try to "cheat" by editing your posts after 7:30 EST the night of the results. I am going to do the best I can to get everyone's vote properly recorded prior to the show. Up until then, change away if you need to.

Bottom 3- Person A, Person B, Person C (in alphabetical order by first name)

It was a tough choice with Kristy's frantic overly-country performance and David A uncomfortably forgetting his lyrics (his worst performance ever, but I think his past performances will keep him in).

hehe Pam..i was gonna say Syesha but went with the majority too lol..figure we'll all not get points if we're wrong instead of me being the only one wrong (although would pay off if i was right lol)
 
While I was watching Kristy sing, I was thinking, the melody was too fast for her screeches whatever you call the method of how country singers sing their song.

I compared it to me chasing my morning train every day.

I feel bad for her.

No, I just think that while her performance was BAD, it really wasnt THAT bad. I mean, if you're a country fan, it really wasn't that horrendous of a performance. Sure she could have done a hell of a lot better and I think it was way too fast and kinda sucked, I think she'll still appeal to the older crowd.
I just think David's performance was boring and he's forgettable (ala Simon). I don't think that he's one of the people you think when you think American Idol. Neither is Kristy really but...

Well I agree with Mandy, I really didn't think her performance was that bad and if anything I give her extra points for taking a big risk like that even if it didn't pay off. But then I completely don't get the appeal of Carly or David A. so perhaps I'm just totally off this season, lol.

I think the thing with Syesha last night is that she was forgettable, not bad. Kristy Lee was BAD and memorable. I know my ears were trying to run from the sounds she made. Her performance was much more offensive to the senses than Syesha's.

Umm...well I LOVE LOVE LOVE country music and I thought it was absolutely HIDEOUS!! I agree with Simon 100% - no way would that song work as a country song. :)

The other thing that bothers me, and perhaps it's my piano training talking here, was that she was NOT with the music. She was behind them throughout the song.

LOL, Paula...you're SO right. :) I think that's what it was for me too! I'll blame it on the endless hours playing and listening to the tick, tock, tick, tock of my metronome! I'm a huge country fan too and DH laughed at me when I told him it sounded like she was singing at a country fair (and then Simon said the same thing....not sure if I should be proud of that...LOL).

um, yeah. I like country too and I thought Kristy's performance was awful. I was tempted to put Chikezie in the bottom three even though he was awesome last night. I am thinking he doesn't have a huge fan base, but I went with the majority also.
 
I'm another big fan of country music. I have over 39 hours worth (615 songs) of country music on my computer. Kristy Lee was horrible.

I really think David A. should be in there for forgetting his lyrics but I think his fan base is too big.
