Accordion albums are EVIL!!!

That is all.

Okay, so I did my accordion album today. PITA, I tell you. It's done though.. and I looooove it. The only thing is that it's hard to tie the ribbon onto the rings because sometimes it slips out through that little slit thing. It was hard to get the pages on there and to trim around them because of the whole attaching thing, but I got through it!!!!

Col wasn't even on email standby for me today and I still did it by myself. Go me.

Pics will go up tonight for those that want to see. :)

I think they're adorable, but yeah the rings have me wondering if I want to put one together or not.

BUT, you could pull the rings off (and I came up with this solution because when *I* try doing things like this, I end up wrecking something), and just tie it together with ribbons!

I took off the jump rings when I did the album and then put them back on to assemble it. I just used a pair of needle nosed pliers and pried them apart. DH later informed me I did it wrong... but hey it worked! LOL! :)

So Dani...what's the "right" way?? I'm finishing up my pages to have them printed so I can make mine tomorrow night...any advice?

Tracy, take the rings off if you can. That would have made it HUGELY easier. and I mean HUGELY. Literally it took me almost 4 hours JUST to glue the pages down and trim. Stupid rings. LOL

I used needle nose pliers like Dani for mine too and pried the rings open and took it apart completely. The accordion book does take a little more work to put together but its one of the easiest to cut and glue once it's taken apart and it's one of my favorite finished products.

am I the only dork that punched holes and then cut one edge to slide around the rings??

I didn't think if the pliers till I needed to make my ribbons stay on

Well Amber, I didn't think of pliers at all, and punched holes, and slid the pics in between the slits of the rings, so if you're a dork then I'm a bigger dork. <blush>

Dude this would have taken like half the time if I'd been smart enough to take out the rings!!!

Here's the pics...

Great job Sara...I have not yet gotten to mine yet either so I am happy with the advice from everyone !!!!!

Awesome Sara!

I had that thought too, like what you did for the mailbox flag.
