About me page inspiration

I keep flipping through all my kits and whenever I see one that catch my eye I think oh this is me, but then I spot another and another and I end up wanting to use all the kits on one page!

How on earth am I supposed to choose just one or two? One thought I had was to make a page for each kit, use it like a prompt to let my children know ALL about me in one big book. But the task of making so many pages without it getting boring to read is daunting.

How do you go about when making a page about YOU? Any tips and pointers to share? Wanna show of your page? Please do and link it up so I and possibly others can give you some love :)

I have an ongoing BOM - (book of me). It's the one album that I do as loose layouts in a 3ing album instead of a photo book - that way I can just add a page as I make it. The idea of doing it all at once is very daunting and I've found that just doing a page when the mood strikes works best for me.

Here are some pages that I've done over the years:

LOL - I had more in my gallery than I realized! :D

Love it!

I have a few of these pages myself for mine, but I guess I'm wanting to make a page about my feelings/thoughts and there are to many different ones to capture in one page. Perhaps I should do one for each feeling.

Thanks for sharing your pages!

I have many more pages that are much more personal that I don't post - Again, I just do them when the mood strikes, especially since my thoughts and feelings change over time. The one on faith above was made after many years of soul-searching and I wanted to get those feelings down - I don't think I could just sit down one day and say "Today is the day I'm going to scrap about this"... things hit me out of the blue most of the time :D

My about me pages are going to be two page spreads. Like you, I see kits and think 'that's so me" or ones that represent how I feel at the time. What I do is scrap a selfie with the kit I like... Trying to stay on theme (if i'm sad, let the selfie be sad, or if it is silly, take a silly selfie... Not necessarily 'stage' my photos, but just let them show what I am naturally feeling. I usually just make the page freely with the photo, word art and embellishments..... Page 2 of the spread will be the page where I journal about the topic i. General (things I find silly, what makes me sad). In scrapping page 1 right away, not only does that use the photo right away and allow me to scrap with that current emotion in me, but I also use the kit I had in mind and can use that as a reference to what kit needs to be used to make the journal page.

A few examples:
This page reminds me that I want to scrap on my feelings of everyone thinking I am a dark person when really I'm not

this one is for my struggles with the judgmental people around me who try and tell me still how I should be

here's what I have to work with when I am ready to write about my silly / humorous side

So something like that.... :)

I loved your pages, Marie and like the idea of a book about me. I make family albums and feel silly putting pages about me in there. I did include a couple that I couldn't resist though!

We will also have an All About Me Bingo Challenge each month. So if you scrap along with that challenge at the end of the year you'll have 12 pages to put in an album.
