2016 Color of the Year

I actually LOVE those colors!! Gorgeous!
And, Yari, those fashion photos are awesome!! Love love love!

Also Yari... I actually love the lips and nails and sweaters you posted representing "marsala" but this is how Pantone represented color and I think it's a horrifying shade...

I never gave it another thought after seeing that last year. Might as well be brown.

Yes I agree with you so I was VERY GLAD to see designers choosing a much darker and saturated shade to still go with the trend but make it more appealing. The same thing will happen with the colors above I'm sure.

Also if you google "marsala fashion" it will show darker colors as well, not exactly what Pantone chose. This is where common sense comes in and I love that fashion designers use common sense in their designs rather than just following what Pantone says, which would rather inhibit creativity.

Agreed. It's as if designers said... "no Pantone... you're wrong" and then they picked the RIGHT color to be on trend.

I'm not a fan of pastels to begin with but these colors are so out of the 90s, I just can't. I mean, 90s Versace - these are the exact colors right there. It's not even original!

Oh my gosh, hahahaha that's too funny!

Jamberry announced these colors as well and I initially thought baby, but I'm excited to see how they'll make wraps using the color of the year! The overall colors are okay, but I'm not a pastel person at all, so that turns me off to those two colors. However just like my approach to Jamberry and whatever wraps they make for the new colors, I'll take that same approach in my digital scrapbooking products/layouts. I'll have to see it, to see if I can use it without taking away from who I am. But overall, general pastel pink and blue is not my thing.

Yari made them look really pretty! I like them separate and not together. I couldn't wear the pink because I'm too pale and it washes me out. But the blue is nice! Not my fav, but Yari made them more likable!

Maybe we should reconsider our perception of the 2016 colors? :)

Maybe we'll see kits in 2016 colors hitting the store? I wouldn't mind at all! :)
