Can I brag on my dad!!!
So we went home this weekend because my dad, who turned 76 years old in March, graduated from college with his BS in Sacred Literature!!!!
 He started way back in 1988 (we were both freshmen....him in college and me in high school  )and through 23 years of ups and downs and just general life-y-ness he never gave up, even if he could only take one class a semester, he did it with a cheerful heart and a smile on his face. So much has happened to him and our family in that time...some good...some bad...some great, there was times when a lesser man would have thrown in the towel, but not him, he just kept plugging along!!! I can't tell you how very proud I am of him and how much I love him and admire him!!! He is such an inspiration to me and I am so truly honored and blessed to call him my dad!!!  Here he is receiving his diploma (he was the only graduate ):

I just about have tears in my eyes. What an AMAZING story!! You HAVE to scrap that..sniff sniff. Your dad sounds like a positively wonderful man! You have much reason to be proud.

this made me a little teary-eyed. It is so awesome he was able to finish and get his degree. I would be really proud too
