Crafty girls - what have you made for presents this year?
I'm really slacking in the "making gifts" department this year, unless you count calendars and mugs. I do those great!!!
I'm at the point where I need some gifts by the end of the week and need to make things. It's mostly teachers and co-workers and one Aunt coming from out of town. So show me what you've been making this year - or quick gifts to make. Show of your crafty skills!!!

I did this last year... homemade snowglobes with $10 GC's inside to starbucks, Best buy, etc... It made the small $10 gift seem more "special" if you know what I mean.
They turned out really neat looking. I added in small plastic metallic ball ornaments, silver glitter, and glittery plastic stems and berries from the silk flower section of the craft store. |

And because of said baby my other crafting is minimal, and I haven't done much at all yet. I've almost crocheted one of the two minion hats I wanted to make. lol!

I'm on my phone so I can't link, but for my son's teacher, I grabbed a melamine plate and cereal bowl and fled the bowl upside down on the bottom of the plate to make a stand. then I bought a loaf of French bread and made some compound butter - honey, berry, and garlic. I think if you search sweet & savory Christmas on pinterest you'd find the recipes, it was so easy!

I'm making ornaments. Printing photos onto transparansies and inserting into clear ornaments and adding a little snow inside as well + a bow on top. I just need to get laser printable transparansies before I can start.

This year the only thing I'm making is calendars, but here are some of the quick teacher gifts I've done in the past. Some I paired with a small gift card, others with a tin of homemade brownies or purchased chocolates.
Card, magnet, bookmark, and notebook set Candle and gift card holder Bucket of cookies for a therapist A loaf of banana bread with a scrapped wrapper around it Dry erase board. This one I made for myself for the fridge, but I've seen some nice ones with ribbons to hang them. I wanted something light so I laminated, but if heavier is okay you can use a frame instead.

I made a little fish painting for my kids' Godmom out of their hands and it says "Hooked on nana" on it (they call her nana). I didn't think to take a picture though.

Angie I did those scarves last year and they were a big hit.
I love to see what everyone comes up with. This year I made a few crochet projects to gift but that was it.

For my son's teachers, we filled Mason jars with Hershey's kisses and some strands of glittery tinsel, and finished them off with a bow and ribbons. I printed out little cards that said, "Merry "Kiss-Mas" and attached them. They turned out way cute and I loved that my three year old could help make them...(he was so proud to give them to his teacher's yesterday!) Did I mention that we shared the "leftover" Hershey's kisses! (I stole the idea from Pinterest BTW)

I got a little crafty this year. I love hand made gifts! All the pics are on my phone...sorry!
For my nephew I made felt roads, a little baggie that says "Declan's Road Kit", and tossed in some hot wheels. I made a wall canvas for my neice. Painted ombre to match her teal walls with a vinyl decal on it cut with my silhouette. I made a super quick little purse with scraps for a little girl I watch once a week (her brother is also getting a road kit like my nephew). I made my girls some chalkboard frames - butterfly shaped. I think that's it! I tried to make some headbands for my girls tonight but my sewing machine was trying my patience, so I quit! I might try again tomorrow. I don't think any of this is going to help you with your quick gifts that you need! Hope you find something!
