Anyone out there been to Whistler, Canada?
My husband and I are driving up to Whistler in July. We've never been. Other than the peak to peak gondola ride, what is a must-do/must-see? Great restaurants? Shops? What shall we do for our three days?

Gosh- last time we were in Whistler, my daughter was a toddler- and she's now 16- so quite awhile ago. I remember it was a blast though. The gondola ride was super fun. There's an irish bar/pub that we really enjoyed too- but not sure that's still there.

i've never been (even though i'm in the same province.. just way on the opposite side)
I do know there is another gondola ride on the way there though in squamish - it's called sea to sky and it's supposed to be absolutely beautiful |

Closest I've been is Banff, so I'm no help, but the google photos of Whistler look amazing.

We spend time in Whistler each summer and used to ski several times a year there! it is one of our favorite places to visit. The drive up to Whistler is beautiful and there a couple of spots to stop and hike/sightsee.
Here are a few things we enjoy doing while we visit: Rent electric bikes and ride the trails around the valley. Zip lining- there are 2 companies that have very different zip lines. Hike around the peak stations on both mountains. There is a new chair that takes you higher than the peak. COWS ice cream in the village is a must stop for us. ATV trips, white water rafting, Kayak in the valley, the racquet club has pickle ball and bicycle tours. There is a Squamish tribal center near the base of Blackcomb. Check out the train wreck hike. The local cyclists have created ramps and trails out of the remains of an old train wreck. More than anything, find a place to sit, drink coffee or have a meal and watch the world go by. If you're on your way up or back across the border and want a nice breakfast/brunch, we like Delphi in Langley BC. The portions were large and the food was delicious.

I have never been to Whistler. My one and only trip to B.C. was Kamloops and Clearwater.

I hope I do not offend anyone who may live in those areas but.. of all the places to visit in BC those likely did not give you the best representation here lol All I know is when I see Kamloops I think = dry and hot

It's a long way from Australia but my friend has a son who lives in Canada and she just went in March and she said it was so beautiful!
She went for skiing and stayed for three weeks there, I was so jealous to see all the photos she showed me

Yes, if I were visiting BC on a fun trip I would not pick there. We were visiting my aunt who lived in Clearwater. Scenery was pretty as we were in the Wells Grey Park area but not much to do. I thought I would escape the heat and humidity I am used to….nope.

I am no help, but I saw my the photos of the trip my little brother & sister, who live in Toronto, taking my parents there during their visit, and it looks like a gorgeous place.
