I'm doing a Digi Scrap Demo

In a few weeks for the MOPs (Mothers of Preschoolers) group I go to.

What should I include? I've got a lot of ideas, and I'm going to do a handout with links to freebies here and our tutorial section. As well as take printed albums. What would you think would be helpful?

I'm trying to get local friends addicted to digi! LOL!

Are you taking a laptop to sorta show them your process? I'd think that would be good. What about besides an album other things you can do with digi, like make cards, invitations etc??

Have examples...template vs non-template, layered vs minimal...to show there's no 'right' way to do it. (I know a lot of people get intimidated when they first see completed books...)

Talk about how you choose photos, your journaling voice, how you keep track of what you want to scrap.

Also...stress the 'no mess' part...great when you have little kids...

^^^Yes, I was thinking too that the hardest thing when I'm trying to get someone started is showing them something I do now because then they think "there's no way I can do that". And in a way it's true. I couldn't either when I started 7 years ago They have to start with what they can do now. So I vote demo a simple page like you would do when you first started. I think it's fun to show people about digi-scrapping - YAY!

Maybe also demo PL as that might appeal to someone that regular digi scrapping might not? Stress the memory keeping part of it, and how those will be cherished family heirlooms. Oh and for the newbies it might be fun to also share the challenges here ...maybe even a few community members examples to show people how it can spark your creativity. I know in the beginning I didn't really think about scrapping everyday moments as much.

Oh and how important it is to include the parents? My kids are so much happier now that I do that omg, you are going to have so much fun!

I do, my about me album is in page protectors and the first year I scrapped is as well.

I will be taking my laptop and suggesting to everyone to bring theirs with a trial version of PSE (if they still offer it).

I'll be sure I cover all those topics. I'm not a PL scrapper, but I'll be sure to show a few examples of it.

Templates I'll cover for sure.
