PS3 is driving me NUTS!

This program keeps closing on it's own right in the middle of what I'm doing! And it's freezing on me!!

Kinda hard to get anything done if you have keep starting over or you can't do anything at all!

Anybody have any ideas as to why PS3 could be acting up??

What are you doing right before it shuts down? Using any specific tool? Going to a menu? A certain font?

do you have a scratch drive set up? that helped a lot and uninstalling some fonts. Apart from that I don't know because mine drives me crazy by doing it all the time on my new laptop yet my old desktop doesn't seem to do it as often I have same fonts installed on both so I know it's not a corrupt font. Sometimes I'm dragging papers or elements onto my LO and that's usually when it shuts itself down (usually waits until I'm almost done my "unsaved" layout).

When it freezes...I have no idea?

Do you have the PSE Organizer open too? I started having problems like that and realized it was the organizer, so I stopped using the organizer altogether and it made a huge difference.

This came up in a CT forum of mine and it turns out some CK fonts (several others admitted they had these fonts installed when their PS froze) can make PS freeze I don't know why, but once they were uninstalled PS worked fine.
