I don't think anyone from any of my schools became famous (that I know of anyway haha).
Conway Twitty (old time country haha) is a cousin on my mom's side. His actual name is Harold Jenkins and his family always came to our Jenkin's family reunions in Mississippi. |

there's an olympic volleyball player who went to my high school and helped the US win gold. he was a few years older, but i knew his sister.
also, not a classmate, but katie holmes grew up nearby. i used to live 2 houses down from her sister (and my ex still does). |

Not really anyone...the closest thing would be classmates who went to the Swayze School of Dance...it was the local dance studio, and as Patrick was just starting to get well-known (his Outsiders days), it was all they could talk about. He wasn't around all that much after that point, but it sure made a lot of us wish that we'd been taking dance lessons

When I was a kid, I met Conway in a grocery store! I'd gone to his concert with my grandmother and uncle, and on the way home, we saw his tour bus in the parking lot of a grocery store. So, my uncle pulled over, we went inside, and he was just walking around in the frozen food section. Lol!
I got him to sign a photo for me, which I still have. He was really sweet and nice, especially considering we were kinda stalking him!

Cool! My husband met Garth Brooks in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Yukon (his hometown) before he became super-famous...he was singing much smaller gigs back then and apparently still doing his own shopping
