Default Are you making Valentines for your kids?

My boys are both in daycare and last year I made a cute little card for them to hand out (it was a big hit) and I thought I'd do it again this year. I'm going to print them out as 4x6 photos. Anyone else?

Here is what I put together with Dani's Love Struck kit and I may do one or two more for variety. Originally this was just a layout, but I converted it to a card

I am, but not sure what I am going to do.

There are so few kids in daycare, that I am thinking somesort of treat bag thingy. But I would like to get glue, flowers and stickers so the girls can embellish as they want. I don't know...

A few years ago I made these:

*I melted broken crayon pieces in my oven in cake pans at 250 for about 10-15 mins!!*

But this year I couldn't pass up the $1 box of premade Lightning McQueen Valentines that come with tattoos!

That crayon idea rocks.
Target had silcone heart shaped molds in their dollar spot. I am gonna go see if they still have them. That could be a very fun thing for Kennedy and I to make for her class together.

Kristianne, thank you for the compliment!

Annie, that sounds like a cute idea! You have way more motivation that I do!

Jami, those turned out great! What a fun idea!

Julie, I totally forgot about those, I love them! I may have to pick them up!

I'm planning to, but I haven't found time yet. That needs to be one of our challenges in early Feb, to make a Valentine's Day card! That would inspire me to get them done already.

Here are the ones I made for DS to give out last year. I print them as 2x3s. This year I may include a space to tape on a lollipop.

My son's daycare is very small, too. So I picked up those heart shape suckers in the dollar section of Target and will print up something and tie them on. I also picked up their heart measuring cups and the heart spatulas for the daycare teachers. I think I am going to use Bella Gypsy's Toadily Cute for the kids, but I have no idea what kind of cute sayings to have on the measuring cups and spatulas yet.

Rachel, that is so cute! I like the idea of taping on a lollipop!

Mari, that is a good idea getting something for the teachers too, I didn't even think about that. Last year, they got the same card as the kids, lol.

Awesome ideas everyone!

We bought our Valentines this year, but I am def. going to be making them next year! This way, they are gender neutral. I had to buy TinkerBell and Spiderman for Natalie. I am thinking about making personalized bookmarks to put in treat bags.

sammi I really like the book mark idea.
I was thinking of making some goodies (food) for the teachers...and then doing a hybrid deco on the box..

I am also going to use Dani & Traci's candy toppers/valentine cards for my son's class:

They are in preschool, so I am not going to use the skull ones....but I love the YOU ROCK ones!!!

You see - we just don't do this over here. I would love for the kids in my class to bring stuff in for their friends, how sweet
