My baby bro is bringing home a girl!

For the first time ever..he's never brought anyone home to meet the parents! I have two sisters so I've had experience with BIL's but I've never met a potential SIL before.

Gabe is the baby..I'm 11 1/2 years older than him so he's 26. That a HUGE difference you know? twenty-something is so much different than thirty-something. Anyway, I'm rambling..My mom had just called and she's all nervous and stuff b/c this is her BABY boy lol

I wonder if I'll like her...I've never really met any of his girlfriends before b/c I'd been out of the house for years and was already married by the time he got to that dating age plus he's pretty private with stuff.

Now I'm all nervous and stuff lol

It was like that when my brother brought his girlfriend home to meet everyone. He's just a year younger though - and even then it seemed weird, lol!

I'm sure it will be fine! Don't be like me and bombard her with questions. My brother's gf was SUPER shy, and I was trying to get her to talk, so I kept asking her questions. I found out later that I scared her, lol! But I was totally nervous too... I wanted her to like me (and I wanted to like her)... after all, she was maybe going to be my SIL in the future! Now she is my SIL, and we get along really well - she's not scared of me anymore, lol!!

Awww! I remember when my now SIL came to visit. She was super nice. We all hit it off and she is fantastic to my brother. We are 14 months apart but I was married at 19 and they were married at 29. Plus, he lives 3 hours away. I bet you guys hit it off!

I know what you mean about the age differences, there are huge age gaps in my family between siblings. Well, my sister is only 1 1/2 years older than me, I'm only 2 years older than my brother, but then there's 12 years between him and our little sister, then like 3 months to our brother (both adopted), then 3 years, then 5 years. But between the oldest and youngest there's 21 years!!! lol HUGE gap!

Well, it went okay..she's very nice..I'm not sure we have much in common..she just seems so young to me, but I think that's b/c I've been feeling so old lately lol. My kids as always never meet a stranger so they kept her busy. I don't think she's used to little ones but she handled it okay so that's good lol.
