Default Shopping (clothes) help

Soooooo.... I'm about to have this baby in the next month and I remember feeling SO self conscious and uncomfortable in my clothes right after I had Allie. I'd like to buy some tops to have on hand that are pretty but not tight around the waist and belly... ya know, to hide that nasty baby tummy! I'm looking for tops like this...

Oh, and they must have sleeves. I also really love the tops in this style with pretty accents along the top (ruffles, flowers, etc.).

Let me know if you've seen similar tops!

I don't know, but that shirt is adorable!! My problem right now is more my pants, not tops. I think I might wear skirts for a little bit. Perfect for warm weather too.

Thankfully, I have better maternity pants this time around so I'll be able to wear those until I fit into my regular pants. I got the full panel jeans and they stay up - last time I had the short panels and I could NOT keep those pants on and I ditched them ASAP after Allie was born... despite the bad muffin top I was sporting. lol

These are cute from Old Navy. Plus they're nursing tops too!

What type of pants do you have? I'm having a heck of a time finding some with a full panel that don't cut into my stomach.

I have the full panels from Motherhood. Their panels are AWESOME! I had some Old Navy maternity jeans that were "full panel" and they were TERRIBLE. Cut right into my stomach. I have 1 pair of jeans and 2 pairs of jean capris from Motherhood that are all their secret fit panel and I love them.

After 3 babies, that's my favorite style of top! Apt 9 at Kohls has a lot of things like that.

I just bought some cute ones at Sears.

I also like Chadwicks for online clothes shopping. They are kind of pricier but I like their clothes a lot. You can get coupon codes when you sign-up for their e-mail newsletter and also when you get catalogs.

Awesome, thanks! I'm going to try Motherhood tomorrow. I have some Old Navy ones too and I agree, horrible! They're so uncomfortable.

oh, good point. For some reason, I don't like to wear maternity pants after having a baby! Plus, it's getting too hot for pants (for me). But I do have some shorts that would work!

I know exactly how you feel about this. I am 3 weeks pp with a c-section and have the muffin top going on. I am so self conscious in my clothes right now. Not to mention I can't wear anything that is tight around my belly because of the c-section. Ugh, it's the worst.

I can understand that. The sooner I can get out of maternity pants, the better! And I'm weird... I wear jeans year round - even when it's like 109 degrees in the summer. lol

I love tops like that. I have bought a few from Kohl's and dont even have a baby just being born as a reason . In my experience though the website does not show nearly half what is in stores

oh yes gosh Megan I remember having to do that... oh 7 months ago

I HATE old navy... for the simple fact of what they did to me, but honestly I keep going back because I love basic t's and they have them cheap for the occasional spit-up epidemic in this house (Em had acid reflux problems).
