Don't get snow where I am. In actual fact I've never experienced any snow here in NZ, only while on holiday visiting a skiing town in Canada.

I love it for skiing in, but I love in an area that gets a lot of it and thus I get over it very fast. It's cold, sucks to shovel and makes driving hard.

I love it for about half a day. Then hate it.

The first snowfall is nice to look at... after that, it's white hot hate for the white crud.

My issue isn't so much with snow as it is with the cold. I hate being cold. I love the look of snow and having snow in the mountains. I love watching it come down. I can drive in it--no problem. I just hate being cold.

I'm fine with snow but I hate/dread driving in it. I have high anxiety already which is amplified when driving...which is amplified even more when driving IN snow. If streets are clear and there's snow on the grass, totally fine. Snow on the streets...cue panic and anxiety attacks. Where we live doesn't have the best clearing of snow either so it's always slick and accidents pile up.

I'm from northern WI so I've had my fair share of snow! But since we're a military family we've lived in a lot of places without snow and I have to say I prefer it that way!

For the first 29 years of my life, I lived in southern California, so I had barely experienced snow (just a few times in the mountains). Since 2000, we've lived in Virginia, half way between D.C. and Richmond, where we get approximately 3 significant snowfalls per winter. So it's exciting and I've mostly avoided having to drive in it.
Last year I had to drive a friend home at the beginning of a snowstorm and I spun out a little as I turned into her neighborhood. It was one of my scariest moments of my life! My family wishes the snow would come earlier so we could have a white Christmas, but it rarely does. We actually get most of our snow in February and March. In fact, I think it has snowed around the first day of spring almost every year we've lived here! I still think it's fun then, but my husband and daughter scoff at it, saying it should have come around Christmas! :P I'm very happy with the amount of snow we get. I want to hibernate as it is, with the cold of winter, so that would be even worse with lots of snow. And though southern California's steady weather that barely ever gets cold was nice, I really like the much more noticeable changes of season here. Now to copy and paste this onto a scrapbook page! |

Love to visit it, hate it when it gets nasty and slushy. Can't stand the idiots who don't know how to drive in it!!!

We don't get snow here very often, so when it snows I find it really pretty to look at but really horrible to deal with. We don't have snow clothes, snow tires, and the city doesn't have the ability to plow most of the roads. So, I love about 1" of snow, after that I hate it. LOL

I love significant snows, anything that's enough for schools to close. (And since the DC area doesn't deal with snow that well, that can be a couple of inches.) But after we've had a few of those, preferably a few that are at least 4-6 inches, I'm done for the year and ready for spring.
Cold is another story. I hate it! But I can't imagine living somewhere that doesn't have 4 seasons and snow, so I consider cold a necessary evil. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

I hate snow. It looks pretty when it's still fresh, but driving through it to get to work is just too scary for me.

Pretty to look at and I don't mind driving as long as it is not ice but I hate the cold associated with snow.

I love the look of it, and I Ioved skiing when I lived in Canada, but it never snows here so if I had to deal with it every day (as in driving, shovelling it, etc) I might think differently.

I have a love/hate relationship with snow. I grew up in Maine but then married a Marine so spent the next 20 years or so living in warm climes - Hawaii, Guam, San Diego, Virginia, Georgia... I really loved those places. Now I'm back in Maine and I do love to ski and I can drive in a freaking blizzard if necessary but I absolutely hate shoveling it and dealing with it on that level. If I'm not on the mountain skiing I don't want snow Except for a few days around Christmas and then it can go away, except for on my mountain.

I love snow! I grew up in the desert, so the seasons of New England are amazing to me! I love when the leaves have all fallen and I can see the horizon, and the sunrise after the snowstorm is one of my absolutely favorite views! I am learning how to dress appropriately (thermals are my best friends), and I love the cleanup because we always get to chat with our neighbors whom we talk to all the time when we are all out clearing the snow. I'd love to get it together enough to help our neighbors, as they are aging, but with three kids and busy schedules it's hard to get ahead. I always think of roof raking, snow blowing, and shoveling as free exercise (I get bored on a treadmill, but clearing snow is rejuvenating).

I miss snow!!!!! The last couple of winters we've been able to make it back up to Alaska, but this year it's not going to happen and we're all so bummed. It's just not winter without snow!

I lived in the south for 29 years of my life, so snow was VERY rare. The past couple of years since we moved is the most snow we have ever been around. I can get over the cold. I just hate the messy roads. I have gotten better with driving in it from the first year here. My 7 year old loves it and that's probably the biggest reason I can deal with it. Turns out, our 1 year old enjoyed being out in it this Saturday. He tried to go back outside today.

I love it when it's fresh and still all white. Hate and despise it when it's all yucky and slippery...
