At home workout programs/apps/channels?
Now that I've spent 3 months on my butt (literally) following breaking my knee on January 1st, I need to get up and moving. I am not really a 'workout' type person and going to the gym, when living in a small, gossipy town, is not for me (nor is it really in the budget...).
Anyone have any great online or app workouts they follow that can be done at home and are fun and don't feel like work? lol! If that's too much to ask, then just any good workout apps to do from home.

I'm doing the Walk At Home videos on YouTube. Leslie Sansone is the gal that created it. I also have some of her DVD's from 15 years ago. I used those to train for the one and only 5K I ever did!
It is a simple walking workout (4 different types of steps) with some arm movement to help with the core. Some are beginner workouts, others are advanced. Even the beginner workout gets the heart pumping. This one is the one I'm doing post heart surgery: Walk 500 Steps |

I'm in an algorithm of seeing workout videos lately online. I've been forwarding the ones I like to myself so I can find and rewatch later. I really like Mama Rix. All her workouts that I've watched can be done at home with minimal/no equipment.

I get really annoyed with most fitness trainers and so I struggle with watching videos but I have liked fitness blender on youtube in the past- https://www.youtube.com/@fitnessblender If you search on their channel they have videos titles "workout for people who get bored easy" which is me... LOL. They don't have repeats in those ones as much.
There is an app for weights for helping you figure out what to do if you want to do stuff with dumbells etc.. it's called caliber. I mostly just go for walks and listen to audiobooks - this winter was rough for me though and for the first time in years I just didn't go out. I'm hoping now that spring is on it's way I will get back to how I was. |

My favorite type of workout is step classes. I found a lady on youtube who does step class videos, but also other types of workouts from strength training to cardio. Her name is Christina Dorner Fitness. She has hundreds of videos and I've really enjoyed them the last few months.

I just got back into doing some at-home workouts. After giving myself a year's grace to muddle through my emotions and doing some self-work post-divorce, I realized that I've spent my entire life caring for everyone else...it's time to focus on me
I really enjoy EmKFit on YouTube...she always has modifications for lower impact https://www.youtube.com/@emkfit I'm also trying wall pilates...different instructors...but enjoy the workout.

Thanks everyone! I saw one on Tiktok for Beat Boxing Fitness and liked the idea of dance/boxing, etc. and they have modifications for lower impact (darn knee!) so I'm trying that for a bit, I did my first one this am and liked it!
