We're in the process of rebuilding our house due to a fire, and this was a point of contention between my boyfriend and me. I'm not a big fan of carpet, but my boyfriend feels all the bedrooms should have carpet since he hates the feeling of a cold floor on bare feet (which I sort of understand). We ended up doing tile in the bathrooms, sun room, and laundry room; carpet in the bedrooms; and hardwoods throughout the rest of the house.
