My layouts suck when I don't use a template
* Have lots of greenery and flowers or have lots of paper-like elements / stickers
* Use a script or do repetitive steps manually
* Use black and white photos or colored photos
That's my go to when colors from my photos clash with the kit.
* Scrap people or scrap places / scenery
* Mix and match designer's kits or use a kit or collection from one designer
* Use a solid background paper as the bottom layer, or use a patterned paper
I prefer using tons of pattern papers on top to showcase them
* Use masks or scrap without them
