Favourite Pen/Pencil

Do you have a favourite pen and/or pencil for writing in? I feel like I barely ever write anymore but I bought myself a tiny planner (katie daisy because I love her art) and I am wanting to have just something that is nice to write with - not super picky but i'm pretty messy and so i don't really want anything that smudges. I'm thinking of maybe going the pencil route since I likely change things often... :o

I use a blue pilot pen marker, named sign pen. I buy it in Europe, I don't know if you have them in the US. I'm addicted. I buy them in bulk.

I love the Sharpie pens. So smooth when writing and looks nice.

You're welcome. I'm glad you found it. I hope you like it. It's a thick pen marker and the good thing is it doesn't bleed through paper. I hate when that happens. I use it everyday to write my to-do lists. I don't like thin pens and I like using pen markers, but I always had trouble finding the right size. It was either too thin, or too thick.

It's the Pilot 2.0 mm, V-Sign Pen Liquid Ink Tip.
Tip size in mm : 2.00 mm ? Writing width : 0.60 mm.

I stay clear of "markers" because I always, always smear them.

My favorite pen is the Uniball Signo Gel Grip in blue. I've been using them for years and love them. They are comfortable on my grip, write smooth and don't smear. :)

I don't have a fave brand but I love ultra fine point pens.

I like a fine point, too. My fave is the Pentel RSVP BK 90 FIne. It has that soft grip, seems to last forever and writes so smooth and fine. And they're comparatively priced to other everyday pens. I think my last purchase was a 10 pack on Amazon?

Uni-ball Signo 207

Tul. Gel pens are my faves!

These metal barrel Sharpies are my favorite writing pens! Hands down.

I love those sharpie pens Robin shared, I also like the Pental Energel medium point gel pens, you can get them with an even finer tip, DH likes them for work.

And surprisingly I found these are Walmart that I love!!

Those are mine, too. Because I love the metal ones, I've also bought Sharpie pens off Etsy that have been dipped in epoxy, or whatever they use. Both the shops I've bought from are on breaks right now, but here are links (VandGVinyl and BruskiCraftsCo) in case anyone is interested and they reopen.

They're great on regular paper, but when I write on coated papers like a calendar I have to give them a long time to dry.

I used to swear by the Sharpie S-Gel that Robin shared. Then I got a bad set (smeared, ink was clumpy, etc.) and I haven't tried any more since. Then I started using the colored Paper Mate Ink Joy all the time. I still use those now and then. Mostly these days I use Paper Mate Flair Pens. I use them because they show up nicely on my projector screen when I am using a document camera.

My favorite pencil is the SAKURA SumoGrip Pencil. I love the big barrel and the soft grip. I like the 0.5 or 0.7 best. I think they are pretty expensive on Amazon, but I usually stockpile when I find them in the store!

As for pens, I like thin felt tips best. But there is always a space in my heart for Gelly Roll pens!

Our whole family is pretty addicted to Pilot Frixion erasable pens. We literally don't use anything else anymore. Rarely, I will use a sharpie pen (felt tip) because I want something bold and black. We also have a nice stash of our former favorite pen, the Pilot Precise. But honestly, the black Frixion 05 fine point are my jam! We also have a bunch of the Frixion 07 in lots of colors which I use for the kids' planners (homeschool). Wish they were easier to find and cheaper.

I love my Paper Mate pens, so much, too! I just ordered some from Amazon (Free shipping to the Philippines with orders over $49 is my most favorite!), and I've been making all the lists ever since they arrived.

Kristin, I LOVE Katie Daisy, too! I used to get her planners every year until I finally accepted that owning a planner doesn't make me a person who plans, so I've settled for using her wall calendar.

i was going to buy the calendar but it wasn't in stock on amazon so i got the planner instead.. i do love that it's so little and cute but the wall calendar likely would have been more beneficial to have it always open LOL
